Indirect illumination of recesses, stairway details, steps, window outlines, handrails or ceiling domes is an increasingly important component in light design planning – in terms of mood creation as well as safety on board.
The custom-made FormLite LED elements can be precisely manufactured according to CAD data. If, for example, a designer is planning a staircase, the FormLites are based directly on the design, construction and space. Irrespective of predefined grid lengths, every form can be perfectly illuminated. With given radius and width specifications FormLites can be produced in virtually all lines in the appropriate radius. No ends need to be hidden, there are no messy transitions and there is no excessive material. And above all: there are no cavities in the illumination.
With a standard cross-section of 30 x 10 mm the light emitting surface is 10 mm. Depending on the individual element specifications this can be to the side, downwards or upwards.
FormLites are of course waterproof, made from UV-resistant acrylic and homogeneously illuminated. Because they are made from solid material – unlike light ropes – they are resilient and strong and therefore structurally deployable. More and more well-known shipyards recognize the benefits and are increasingly applying FormLites in all its diversity.
