The fastest conventionally-powered motor yacht in the world, which can reach speeds of up to 27 knots, will be on show at this year’s Dubai International Boat Show.

The massive 73 metre Silver Zwei is the biggest boat ever to appear in the 18 year history of the show and she will amaze the crowds with beautiful design, comfortable accommodation, reliability and quality workmanship.

The boat is one of more than 400 that will be showcased at this year’s Dubai International Boat Show, including more than 25 superyachts in excess of 25 metres, 12 world launches and more than 25 regional premiers. The show runs from 9 – 13 March 2010 at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC).

The Silver Zwei is being showcased at the Dubai International Boat Show by BehneMar, the maritime arm of Behne Middle East Investment holding. BehneMar is the first consulting firm for high-end motor and megayachts in the region.

“The Silver Zwei is one of the most amazing yachts ever showcased at the Dubai International Boat Show,” said Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre. “It is certainly the biggest and fastest mega-yacht we have ever had and will be the highlight for the thousands of leisure marine enthusiasts we welcome to the show.”

Built from aluminium, the Silver Zwei is light and efficient. She can cover more than 4,500 nautical miles averaging 19 knots and has a very low fuel consumption of just 400 litres per hour.

“The Dubai International Boat Show continues to be the perfect show to display megayachts like the Silver Zwei,” said Christopher Behne, Managing Partner, BehneMar. “With its established reputation in the boating world and its record of attracting the Middle East’s most respected and prosperous buyers, we are looking forward to showcasing this outstanding boat.”
