The German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK) is a German semi-governmental organization and a member of the worldwide German Chambers Network, operating with more than 140 offices in over 92 countries. AHK maintains two offices in the United Arab Emirates, one in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi. AHK promotes and supports trade relations between Germany and the UAE, particularly assisting German companies in establishing and expanding their businesses in the region. As of May 2009, the AHK in the UAE has been recognized as a bilateral membership organization and currently has 650 German and local member companies. In addition to serving as the official representation of German Industry & Commerce, AHK provides business intelligence and consulting services for market entry and offers an effective information and networking platform to support bilateral business relations.
