Below is a brief introduction on our speakers who spoke earlier this year...
ALI KHALIFA BIN THALITH
Secretary General of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA).
In recent times, he gained recognition on an international level as a specialized underwater photographer. In 2014, Bin Thalith was awarded with the International Photographic Council (IPC) Professional Photographer Leadership Award for his career work in the field of photography. As a result, Bin Thalith became the first Emirati and Arab recipient of the prestigious accolade at the IPC Pro Luncheon at the United Nations in New York City.

Asia’s internationally known underwater photographer. He has been capturing the magnificence of life both, below and above the water’s surface for over 20 years. He is known for his Experimental Photography with light and motion.
ERNST VAN DER POLL
Founder & CEO at Connect Ocean
Ernst van der Poll was born in South Africa and lived most of his life there, next to the ocean, which has helped shape the person he is today. He runs his own PADI Dive Center and swimming academy in the town of Las Catalinas, where he teaches adaptive diving for people with life-changing injuries
Managing Director of Tahiti Private Expeditions
Christelle Holler has worked as a stewardess aboard for a couple of Tahiti based luxury charter yachts travelling to the various islands of French Polynesia. She is an experienced diver and she has been diving French Polynesia extensively over the years.
Founder of Sea Masters
A passionate about conservation and has been instrumental in help creating support for tagging and conserving sharks in Cocos Island. He worked and supported many productions projects like Blue Planet, Discovery Channel and Disney’s Oceans just to mention a few.
Learned SCUBA Diving in Mindanao, Philippines 1998, fell in love with diving and quit his job and opened a small resto-bar and while concentrating in the diving business. Has worked with different government agencies in the Philippines, like the Department of Tourism and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources to promote diving, to document, and to explore new dive sites in CARAGA region. Currently working as Dive Safety Officer, underwater photographer and organizes local and international dive trips specially his beloved country Philippines.
